Fresh Food for the Frugal
Grocery shopping is near the top of the list of my least favorite activities. I don’t mind browsing a farmer’s market but the thought of a grocery store outing can make me cringe. If you’re like me and dread the weekly (or more) trek to the nearest supermarket, I may have your sanity solution. It’s a hidden gem called ALDI.
One trip to my new neighborhood market with affordable organic finds has opened the door to a new shopping experience. The layout and size of the store took away that frenzied anxiety I often get entering the big name stores. I was able to leisurely walk the aisles to fill my cart full of affordable organic finds. Yes, I said affordable! My bank account will thank me soon as ALDI becomes my place for organic grocery shopping.
Get ready my SoCal friends for a walk through ALDI…your solution to simple shopping to provide healthy and organic meals for your family.
What makes ALDI different?
High-quality, organic and affordable options
I purposely bought ALDI-exclusive brands and organic options to see if I really could get the quality I wanted for less money. I certainly did!
Salmon and white fish are my shopping list staples but sometimes they never made it into my cart. Cost and freshness are my deciding purchase factors. ALDI delivered never frozen, fresh caught and affordable options for my family favorites.
The ALDI SimplyNature® line includes USDA Certified organic and Non-GMO verified items. It may sound like a mouthful but for me it’s key to bring food to the table that is free from added antibiotics, hormones and other add-ons.
Easy-to-Shop Neighborhood Market
As soon as the glass sliding doors opened I knew this was not the traditional supermarket. For starters, I could see the entire store from the doorway. Size does matter when it comes to my shopping experience! If I’m shopping with my daughter or alone, I want to be in and out of the store quickly with all the items I need.
ALDI really is a neighborhood market with a unique store concept that allows us to save money. Packaged food is actually displayed in the shipping containers. Large cardboard boxes displayed ALDI-exclusive brands. Still as tasty and nutritious as competitors but far less cost. As I enjoyed a sample station for a liveGfree gluten-free product, the employee let me know that ALDI brand items are regularly tested for quality and taste. Everything sampled passed my family’s approval.
Goodbye fancy marketing displays that bleed money and hello to simple marketing for easy shopping. It made it possible to grab and go quickly down the aisles.
Convenience is Key
ALDI has opened 25 new stores in Southern California by July. Perfect timing for all the backyard BBQs, Fourth of July and graduation parties this summer.
